Along with the many, many benefits of living amongst the trees, such as all the birds & squirrels & general privacy, come this one main problem: branches sometimes fall & land right on top of your kids' play structure. Mike & I were sitting around being lazy as can be, when all of the sudden we heard this very loud crunching, crashing sound. We got to the backyard just in time to see this branch land on the play structure. I can see a little damage to the roof and I guess we'll have to have the integrity of the structure tested before the boys go back on it to make sure it is sturdy.
Oh well, nothing we can do about it except be thankful that the kids weren't playing there (Sully was there just hours ago) and that it wasn't our branch that fell onto a neighbors yard. ;o)
