One. Just One.

Q: How many blackberries does it take for a five-year-old to cover the front of his white shirt (new), hands, and rub the juice & seeds all over the freshly shined stainless steel fridge?

A: One. Yep. One. Grrrr....

Luckily the juice came out of the shirt. I wish Mike had been in the kitchen when the blackberry scene went down; he'd get a better idea of why the house is sticky & messy. I try, I really try. And it looks nice for a few minutes...until one of the Moore Boys eats/drinks/plays/walks into the room. ;o) Oh well, job security for me, huh? LOL.

After several rainy days, today was super nice. Breezy but nice. Sullivan didn't nap, which was actually really nice since it allowed us to leave the house to get outside. We headed down to the footbridge again. This time I pulled the Radio Flyer wagon & had us loaded up for a light lunch. With both boys in the wagon it was almost too much for me, but they both walked a good portion of the 2-1/4 mile trek. My motive was to exhaust them so they'll go to bed easily tonight.

On Tuesday, I snipped the tips off of Sullivan's binkies. He's only been getting them at nap/bedtime so I did it when he put it away in the morning. He only has two binkies and I haven't bought any for maybe a year. You can imagine how yucky these binkies are! So, anyway, I went for it and snipped away. He was annoyed that day at naptime but he did eventually nap, broken binkie firmly in his mouth. Yesterday I cut even more off, so there may be half the latex left. I wasn't home at bedtime last night but Mike said Sully blew a gasket as soon as he was in his room. By the time I came home around ten p.m. Sullivan was sound asleep. He did not wake me up once last night! Yippee!! Tonight I will snip even more; cross your fingers that we sleep around here!

Let There Be Keats

Keats wasn't with me at the zoo nor the March for Babies so I don't have as many new pics of him as I do of the baby brother. But these are still cute!

Keats brings me "flowers" constantly! He'll ask me about flowers he gave me weeks ago! "Mom, where are those yellow flowers I gave you that one time?"

Then he turns into a scary monster that comes racing out of the tall grass.

He's getting very confident with his new bike. I am going to raise up the training wheels in a few days and see how he does.
Keats was Student of the Week at school last week. That meant he got to take home Bobo, the class gorilla. The kids are to hang out with Bobo, take care of him, get pictures of him doing fun things, and then they journal about it & post the pictures in the journal book.

Keats & Mama from this morning.

Sullivan. A Lot Of Him.

Random pics of Sully from the past few days. The first four are from this morning. he was being such a cheesy goofball. Literally. He kept running in front of the camera and yelling "Cheeeeeese!" Usually he runs away...

Sully gave Sophie big hugs goodbye at the end of the March for Babies :o)

Digging for pirate treasure at a checkpoint in the March for Babies.

Is it? Could it be??

It is! It is! Buried treasure!

Friday I took Sullivan to the zoo, just the two of us. Here he is riding on the train. He looked a little nervous as the train took off so I scooted over and put my arm around him. He pushed me back and scooted all the way over, then sat here like this for a while. My stoic baby boy. ;o)

Extreme close-up on the train.

He loved the turtles & fish! I had a hard time getting him away from this exhibit.

I have a picture of Keaton & friends sitting on this hippo when Keats was about 14 months. That photo was published in a local family paper.

You can see the baby in the background. "Sam" was born last August 23rd and just reached the 1000 lb mark last week. He gains over five pounds a day!!

Sullivan was beyond thrilled to meet this big elephant. He kept yelling "Hi Elephant! Hi Elephant!" and waving to him. The elephant came really close to Sully quite a few times so I think he may have liked the attention. All the other people around us got a good chuckle out of Sully's excitement.

I don't know what these weird creatures were, sort of like a gray pig with four curved tusks coming out of their faces, but Sully was very excited to see the "doggies!"

Finding an interesting use for his Easter basket. See, I knew they'd come in handy...

Learning to ride the Spiderman scooter; mostly he just wants his mama to push him. ;o)

Trying to blow a "wish"

This is why I have so much laundry.

Sully made a bouncy horse out of this fallen branch.

March For Babies

I've been focusing so much on Relay For Life the past while that I've neglected my original cause: March For Babies. I just realized that the March is this Saturday! So, any last minute card orders gladly accepted. I've also accepted that I am just not going to reach my goal this year, but am okay with that since Team SisterLove has gathered lots of donations in Michelle's honor. Let me know if you want some cards. You can give money online, just click the link to the right and it will take you right to my page. :o)

How Much Fun Can You Have With A Water Fountain?

A lot of fun, as it turns out. We walked the footbridge today and then stopped by the soccer field to kick the ball around. Sully & Keats decided the water fountain was much more fun than a boring old game of soccer!
Keats grabbed Sullivan's baseball hat (off his head!), filled it up, and put it back on Sully's head. Luckily, Sully thought it was very funny. Here's Keaton filling up the hat and flinging it up into the air.

Isn't he gorgeous.

They both enjoyed putting their faces right into the water.

Keats had to turn on the water for Sully. Thanks for helping, big brother!

Keaton also discovered how to make the water spray all over the place by putting his finger into the spot where the water came out. This created at least 20 minutes of pure fun for the boys.

Then we headed down to the river to throw some rocks. The bridge to the left is the new footbridge. (Old train bridge)

Sully always just gets right into things.

Why did I dress him in a white shirt? Have I learned nothing from motherhood??

He's saying "I did it!!" after climbing to the top of this big rock.

Keats had to climb to an even bigger rock, of course.

Looking up at an airplane.
