See the teeny, tiny figure in the background? Wearing a red jacket? That would be Keats. Why is he back there?? Because....because he is Keaton. *sigh* He has been such a pill lately--and that is putting it as mildly as I can-- and is just soooooo mean to Sullivan. We stopped by a park towards the end of a day just to let the guys run around a bit. Keats immediately ran to the far part of the park and refused to a) have any fun or b) play with his little brother.
He has been driving us batty since December when he decided he cannot be anywhere near Sully if Sully is eating. Because Sully smacks like a typical three-year-old. We've been able to go out to eat twice since December because of Keaton's issues. We have also canceled plans to go to the movies because when we've told Keats we're all headed to the theater his immediate response was "but I will have to plug my ears" when Sully has popcorn. You wouldn't believe the rift this has caused around here. Today, Keats didn't eat a thing until just a few minutes ago (it is after 2 pm) because he couldn't cooperate in regards to Sullivan. I'm not sure what exactly is going on nor am I sure how we should try to fix this.
One thing we did is to have Keats start an after-school program five days a week. He is picked up from kindergarten and taken to the new facility. We just have to pick him up by 5:30 pm. We figure this will give him some space from Sully and give us some space from all the fighting!!
Wish us luck in this...we are all stressed out of our heads around here. Aunt Debbie & Uncle Vince are taking Keats for the night tonight (yay!!) so that is a wonderful thing!

Does Keaton always have good manners while eating? I'd would bet he doesn't. I'd give him some of his own medicine, in a teasing sort of way to try and get him to lighten up a bit w/ Sully.
I know first hand how hard it is when kids fight. It can get pretty nerve raching.
